  • Product Description

Phosphoserine antibody HRP, an affinity purified rabbit polyclonal anti-phosphoserine (anti-pS) antibody, was developed using phosphoserine-KLH conjugates and a phospho-protein mixture as the immunogen. The phosphoserine specific antibody was affinity purified with serine-phosphorylated peptide immobilized to agarose. The affinity-purified anti-pS was then conjugated to peroxidase (HRP) by reductive amination. Direct application of the primary conjugates avoids non-specific signals, particularly due to the antibody signal on Western blot analysis of IP's with antibodies from the same species.
  • Specificity

The antibody is recognizes proteins phosphorylated on their serine residues. There is no cross reaction with phospho-tyrosine.

  • Applications

    ELISA (0.25µg/mL) WB (0.25µg/mL) IHC (10 µg/mL)

  • Scientific Description

Serine is one of the 20 naturally occurring amino acids. Kinases phosphorylate serine to form phospho-serine, which is responsible for various signalling processes in eukaryotes.

  • Storage & Stability

Product is stable for several weeks at room temperature. For extended storage, aliquot content and store product at –20ºC. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Expiration date is one year from date of shipping if properly stored.
