Affinity purified rabbit polyclonal anti-p90 RSK1 antibodies are developed with the C-terminal peptide of human RSK1 (p90) and are conjugated to horse-radish peroxidase (HRP) through reductive amination. The conjugate has been used for one-step immunoblotting of crude cell lysates and immunoprecipitated RSK1. Using HRP conjugates reduces the time of blotting and background, particularly from the interference of IgG bands resulting from IP.

Rsk1 is a member of a family of 90 kDa ribosomal S6 kinases. It is activated in response to mitogenic stimuli such as extracellular signal regulated protein kinases Erk1 and Erk2. Rsk1 is activated by MAPK, in vitro and in vivo, via phosphorylation and plays an important role in transcription regulation.
