  • Product Description

AKT1, also known as protein kinase B alpha (PKB alpha), is a member of the PKB family, which is responsive to cell activation. The anti-AKT1 antibody is raised with a peptide derived from the C-terminal sequence of human AKT1 and affinity purified with the same peptide conjugated to affinity matrix.
  • Scientific Description

Protein kinase B (PKB) or AKT is a serine/threonine kinase. In mammals three highly homologous members of PKB are PKB alpha (AKT1), PKB beta (AKT2) and PKB gamma (AKT3). This enzyme is involved in important cellular processes such as glucose metabolism, cell proliferation, apoptosis, transcription and cell migration.
