The mTOR antibody recognizes the N-terminal sequence of mTOR proteins. The product can be utilized for proteomic studies, immunoaffinity chromatography separation and isolation of the protein and peptides from protease digested protein samples.

mTOR is a member of a family of proteins involved in cell cycle progression, DNA damage detection and DNA recombination. mTOR is known to inhibit cell cycle progression through the G1 phase in many cell types by interfering with mitogen-activated signalling pathways.
