The hydrocortisone antibody is developed from rabbits using hydrocortisone 3-(O-carboxymethyl) oxime-KLH conjugate as immunogen and affinity purified with hydrocortisone-agarose. The antibody can be utilized for the detection and quantification of hydrocortisone.
Scientific Description

Hydrocortisone is a C-21 steroid hormone involved in the female menstrual cycle, pregnancy (supporting gestation) and embryogenesis of humans and other species. Hydrocortisone belongs to class of hormones called progestogens and is a major naturally occurring human progestogen.
