  • Product Description

This product is bovine serum albumin (BSA) with trimethylated lysine residues. The signal of proteins with trimethylated lysine can be competitively inhibited by 50 µg/mL of these conjugates but not by 3% BSA.
  • Scientific Description

In the biosynthetic pathway of 1-carnitine, epsilon-N-trimethyl-lysine hydroxylase is the first enzyme that catalyzes the formation of beta-hydroxy-N-epsilon-trimethyl-lysine from epsilon N-trimethyl-lysine. This reaction is dependent on alpha-ketoglutarate, Fe2+, and oxygen.
  • Storage & Stability

Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C. For extended storage, store product at –20ºC. For optimal storage, aliquot product into smaller quantities and store at recommended temperature. For optimal performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Expiration date is one year from date of shipping if properly stored.
