This Stat3 antibody is developed using a short peptide based on human stat3 sequence. The antibodies were tested against human cell and mouse tissues extract (spleen) to detect Stat3 in western blot.  Immunohistochemistry was tested using human breast cancer tissue.

STAT1 and STAT2 were the first two STAT (signal transducers and activators of transcription) proteins discovered. They are involved in interferon-alpha (IFN-alpha) and IFN-gamma signal transduction. Other STAT proteins that have been identified are STAT3, 4, 5a, 5b, and 6.[1] Specific functions of the STAT proteins are poorly understood. They are thought to be involved in a variety of systems including antiviral responses and cell transformation. [2]

Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C. For extended storage, store product at -20°C. Expiration date is one year from date of shipping if stored properly.
