  • Product Description

The rabbit polyclonal antibody is developed against the C-terminal peptide of human p44 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK, ErK1), and purified with antigen-specific affinity chromatography.
  • Scientific Description

One of the members of mitogen-activated protein kinases is called p44 MAP Kinase (Erk1). It participates in cell growth and differentiation. [1,2] By phosphorylating transcription factors, p44 MAP kinase regulates meiosis and mitosis of the cells. In the case of human MAP kinase, Erk1 activates Elk-1 through phosphorylation of threonine 202 and tyrosine 204. It is also known that Erk1 autophosphorylates tyrosine. [3]
