Myelin consists of 80% lipid fat and 20% protein. It is an electrically insulating phospholipid layer that surrounds the axons of many neurons. Myelin basic protein (MBP) is a protein responsible for myelination of the neurons of the central nervous system.
The product is stable at 4°C for 12 months. For extended storage, aliquot content and store product at -20°C. Expiration date for extended storage is one year from date of shipping if stored properly.
