  • Product Description

PKB alpha (AKT1) is a member of the PKB family, which is responsive to cell activation. The anti-PKB alpha antibodies, also known as Phospho-AKT (Ser473) antibodies, are raised with a peptide based on the sequence of the human PKB C-terminal end and affinity purified with the same peptide on agarose, and then conjugated with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). The affinity purified antibodies are useful for detection and isolation of PKB alpha from cell lysates.
  • Scientific Description

AKT is also known as protein kinase B (PKB). It is an important molecule in mammalian cellular signalling. It inhibits apoptotic processes and is involved in cellular survival pathways. It also induces protein synthesis pathways.
