ImmuneChem’s Acetyl Lysine Antibody (ICP0380) and Acetyl Lysine Antibody Agarose Beads (ICP0388) were cited in the article published in the Journal of Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology “Pyruvate Kinase is post-translationally regulated by sirtuin 2 in Aedes aegypti mosquitoes”.
N., Isoe. J., Balaraman, P., et al. Pyruvate kinase is post-translationally regulared by sirtuin 2 in Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. 2003. 162: 104015
In the article, Acetyl Lysine Antibody (ICP0380) and Acetyl Lysine Antibody Agarose Beads (ICP0388) were used in the Western Blot and Affinity Purification experiments respectively to provide evidence that AaPK was lysine-acetylated and bound with AaSirt2 in the cytosolic fractions in mosquito fat body and thorax. Once AaSirt2 (NAD+-dependent deacetylase) bound to AaPK, AaPK would be deacetylated, which plays a key role in the regulation of both carbon and nitrogen metabolism in mosquitoes.
