Product Description







Monoclonal antibody production using cell culture systems sometime requires the use of fetal calf serum. Purification of the mouse antibody from the cell culture supernatant using Protein A/G systems may result in contamination with bovine IgG. Anti-mouse IgG agarose is the mouse IgG-specific affinity matrix that could selectively purify mouse IgG from mouse serum, ascites and the supernatant of the hybridoma culture media, without pulling-down bovine IgG. This anti-mouse IgG agarose was prepared using antigen-specific affinity purified anti-mouse IgG as the immobilized antibodies. More than 20 mg of pure anti-mouse IgG was covalently immobilized onto the Agarose beads via a highly stable thiol-ether bond. This product has been successfully used to replace Protein A/G agarose for more specific affinity purification of mouse IgG with high binding capacity > 10 mg/mL.
