Product Description

The antibody is developed using rat immunoglobulins (IgG) as the immunogen, and purified with rat IgG-agarose affinity chromatography. The purified antibody is then conjugated with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). It can be used for detection, identification, quantization and localization of rat IgG.

Purification

The antibody is affinity purified with rat IgG-agarose, and absorbed with human IgG-agarose. 

Conjugation

Specificity 

The antibody is specific to rat IgG. There is no cross-reaction to human or rabbit IgG.

Scientific Description

IgG is a monomeric immunoglobulin that consists of two heavy chains and two light chains. Each IgG molecule has two antigen binding sites. IgG is the most abundant immunoglobulin in the blood and tissue. It provides protection against many kinds of bacteria, viruses and fungi, and plays an important role in cell phagocytosis and bacterial toxin neutralization.

Storage & Stability 

Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C. For extended storage, store product at -20°C. Expiration date is one year from date of shipping if stored properly.
