Product Description

Protein A binds to the immunoglobulin G and M of many mammalian species. The product is protein A chemically linked to beaded agarose through a stable covalent linkage. The immobilized protein A on the beaded agarose could be utilized for the immunoprecipitation and purification of both polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies from mammalian species.

 

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Formulation

8 mg; 1 mL Agarose Beads lyophilized. Add 2 mL of PBS to swell the beads for 24 h at 4oC before use

 

Ligand Immobilized

10 mg protein A/mL matrix. The matrix linking chemistry is stable when eluted with weak acid (pH 2-3) and could be re-usable with no apparent loss of IgG binding capacity. 

 

Binding Capacity

30-40 mg rabbit IgG/mL beads as tested using rabbit serum

Scientific Description

Protein A agarose consists of the native protein A immobilized on 4% cross linked agarose beads. It is made for the binding of immunoglobulins. Protein A is very heat and acid stable.

 

Storage & Stability

Product is stable for 30 days at ambient temperature For extended storage store product at 4 to–20ºC.
